Hopefully this hasnâ€™t been too much information, just trying to share all we know about this machine in hopes it will help us get to the solution. Betting youâ€™ve seen a few interesting â€œrepairsâ€ too. Iâ€™ve seen some pinball tech work, while I am disappointed that people that work on and fix things canâ€™t do very good work, Iâ€™m not shocked by what I see in this slot machine. My other hobby, slot machines is one of my wife, is I collect and work on pinball machines. If the same tech that fixed the door installed the chips, Iâ€™d be skeptical if the labels are correctâ€¦. Guess my point of the long sad story is that we sent pics of the chips that appear to be labeled. Will also be looking for a replacement door switch or info as to how to override the door switch if that is possible. The tech (very loose use of the word tech) that worked on and â€œfixedâ€ the door switch installed what I believe they call a cherry switch its hanging by two wires outside the main cabinet. There apparently was a problem with the original main door switch. Oh, and one more little Frankenstein feature. Hopefully the pictures of the chips will help us confirm what we have. We are fairly confident that it has a five times pay personality. OK, youâ€™re thinking why did you buy this machine, right (the price was good, guess we know whyâ€¦) With the play we have done, the machine pays out as a 5 times pay. This machine has 5 times pay reels and had a half height five time pays taped over the lucky double sevens. When we bought it the top and bottom glass were for a Double Lucky seven machine. Not sure if you may recall Paul Harvey on the radio, he had a famous saying, â€œnow hereâ€™s the rest of the storyâ€¦.â€ So, hereâ€™s the rest of the story on our IGT machine itâ€™s likely what some might call a Frankenstein machine. Any idea as to why it does not have a test switch? Does this imply it may or may not be an S+? This machine does have a bill changer if that tells us anythingâ€¦ The attached file contains pictures of the power switch, various tags inside the machine, the model number tag and finally the CPU board with the chips that are labeled. We opted for the second method â€œpress the white test button (next to the power switch)â€ unfortunately our IGT does not have a test switch next to the power switch.
